About My Practice
Location
My office is located at 2576 Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley, California, and is convenient to both BART and city buses. It is approximately a ten-minute walk to my office from either the Ashby BART station or the North Berkeley BART station. My office is on the second floor and it is regrettably not wheel-chair accessible. There is one-hour metered parking in front of the building, and three hour unmetered parking on the block directly to the south of my building.

My office phone is 510-548-6864. Callers will usually get my answering machine, since when I am in the office I am working with clients. I always return calls on the day I receive them, unless I happen to be out of town. I can also be reached at tomlclark@comcast.net Because I do not check my email everyday, reaching me on my office phone is more reliable. However, if you have any questions about my practice, by all means send an email.
Office Hours
I work Monday through Thursday, and my hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. I will make Friday appointments, but not on a regular, weekly basis. I will see clients occasionally on the weekend, in extraordinary circumstances. Although I do make exceptions, I meet with most clients on a weekly or twice weekly basis.
Fees and Payment Options
My fee scale for private pay clients is $100 to $140 per session, depending on income and ability to pay.
I accept all forms of health insurance that have an outpatient mental health benefit, and which pay a percentage of my fee. Your individual health insurance plan can inform you of what your specific benefits are.
I am also on the Provider Panels of a number of HMO’s; you can call me or email me to see if I am part of your HMO panel. Your co-payment is determined by the HMO. Getting authorization requires only a phone call.
